My visit here was for a boxing day breakfast with the family. Perfect. Well, it may have been if there was some tea. Seriously, no tea!
It probably won’t surprise you that I am impressed with anyone that uses the superlatives ‘Amazing’ and ‘Luxury’ on a menu. For me, that means something special. In this instance, it meant that they had run out of tea – Not the sort of special that I expected.
The staff were superb. The service was great, even if the corner table that we were given meant that the people sitting in the corner couldn’t be served without one of the other of the party handing the breakfasts over to them.
Down to the Breakfast. The ‘Big Breakfast’:
Sausage, 2 bacon, (not quality), half a tomato, mushroom, 2 fried eggs, (1 broken – but both runny) and a load of sautéed potatoes. There was an absence of any bread – which to me means that this isn’t a true Full English.
Overall, it was a bit shabby. Not somewhere I would rush back to.
