Adams Restaurant – Michelin Star – Breakfast
I try not to go on too much in my reviews, but in this one I am going to indulge myself a little: On July 18th, 2015, 26 lucky people, (of the 100+ that applied), were fortunate to be picked by the Birmingham Breakfast Club to join them for breakfast at Birmingham’s highest TripAdvisor rated restaurant, Michelin Starred restaurant, Adams: on Bennetts Hill in Birmingham. It was a one off event, kindly set up by Adam and his wife Natasha.

Nomad meets the Birmingham Breakfast Club – Exclusive Breakfast Event
Firstly, this event sold out in 45 minutes. That’s because Alex and Brian from Nomad are building up a heck of a reputation. They are somewhat pioneering in ways that most of us would just ‘poo-poo’, (I was one of those people until I went along and tried their food one evening – I am now converted). Arrive at 11:00 for 11:30. I set the time. I was last there. That wasn’t a good start. Luckily, it got considerably better

Simpsons Restaurant – Michelin Starred Breakfast
This is an amazing way to spend a Saturday morning. Arrive at one of the best dining venues in the Midlands, then be fed incredible food and drink lovely tea and coffee with a great bunch of people that share a love of breakfasts. Happy days! This breakfast took ages to arrange. Months of negotiations with Luke Tipping (Exec Chef) and then Nathan Eades, (Head Chef) culminated in the following exquisite menu: Kedgeree: Smoked Haddock Risotto, with Capers, Parsley and Quails

Simpsons Michelin Breakfast 2
Another brilliant breakfast this morning, made even better with the fact just a month ago, I had another breakfast at Simpsons, another 3 course, (yes, 3) – but todays was totally different. It started with some great ingredients: Bacon, Sourdough, Duck Eggs and so much more: We started with an exquisite ‘hash’ made with slow cooked venison bresaola, cooked in duck fat and topped with logan berries. It was wonderful. As one diner said “It was the stand-out dish”.
